iCapacity Display Fridge

Your next display fridge: The iCapacity Range

27/05/2022Guy ParkerNews

As we get closer to the summer season the demand for chilled food and drink will inevitably be increasing. A hint of sun and there is a sudden rush for ice cold juices and filled baguettes to take to the local park for picnics with friends and family. To be able to supply this food offering to your customers, you will need a commercial display fridge.

Why do I need a commercial display fridge?

The function of a commercial display fridge is exactly what its name suggests. It is a multi-deck open fronted, or glass fronted, commercial unit designed to display produce and allow customers to choose and collect items they wish to purchase.

Display fridges are designed to maintain and regulate their internal temperature. The focus being to keep chilled food fresh and maximise expiry dates on the fresh products stored inside. The visual appeal of a display fridge is also an important factor for both vendors and customers alike as it can play a key role in how the food and drink inside is being presented. When selecting a chilled unit, it is important to remember that both form and function play a part in optimising sales, as these units are often placed in key areas within a shop or café to highlight the establishments food and beverage offering.

A closer look at the iCapacity commercial display fridge

A display fridge could be an open or closed front unit. It could be a free-standing, multi-deck counter, or a countertop display fridge.

Counterline offer chilled display fridges in the iCapacity, New Experience, Countertop and Vision Aire ranges. Let’s take a closer look at the iCapacity standard chilled range.

Environmental Impact

Each of the 24 variations from the iCapacity chilled range work at a regulated temperature of 3˚C – 5˚C using zero emission, eco-friendly hydrocarbon refrigeration. The iCapacity range also features an automatic condensate evaporator, complete an ECO water level sensor. This works to maintain pre-chilled food and drink at an optimum temperature whilst keeping your environmental impact and running costs down. To complement this, this display fridge range also uses low energy LED lights to illuminate the interior and the products that it holds. These LEDs are also used in the canopy lighting section. If required, any of the iCapacity display fridges are suitable for 24-hour operation – making daily restocking easier for both you and your staff members.

Food Display Space

With 5 levels of open fronted, self-help display, the iCapacity commercial fridge is ideal for holding sandwiches, filled rolls, baguettes, salad, pasta, dairy products, cream cakes, smoothies, bottled, canned and carton drinks. As the ticket strip holders are located directly in front of each shelf, it makes displaying various foods together simple and straightforward. Each model in the open fronted display fridge range comes with the option for a night blind or roller shutter, depending on your needs. The chilled multi-tier 1200 specification has the added option of a glass end panel too.

Each unit comes with 4-inch, pre-fitted, castor wheels with adjustable feet for your preferred positioning, meaning it is both versatile and mobile – perfect for a wide variety of food service environments! Check here for the full list of the iCapacity standard chilled range.
