The Lu Ban restaurant in Liverpool describes itself as, “Not your average Chinese restaurant.” It prides itself on the authentic, fresh flavours of Tianjin, with menus offering a range of options created by executive chef, Dave J Critchley.
The restaurant offers diners the option to select their own dishes or to choose a banquet menu to enjoy with an excellent selection of wines and premium drinks. It aims to educate in Chinese culinary art and deliver an amazing experience for diners through their high-end, fine dining interior and traditional Chinese food.
Lu Ban needed high-quality upgrades to their kitchen space to maintain the quality they are known for, further aiding their seamless kitchen processes and welcoming dining spaces. We worked alongside distributor, Vision Commercial Kitchens, to create new spaces and equipment to really fulfill the look and feel of what Lu Ban were after. Counterline manufactured a range of items for Lu Ban’s refreshed kitchen space, including a stainless steel hot pass, enabling staff to present and inspect dishes before serving, and a bar counter, customised to Lu Ban’s precise requirements, which really enhances the stylish look of the bar area.
We were also tasked with the creation of a private dining counter and chef’s table counter, again, customised to the overall feel of the Lu Ban restaurant. We wanted to create something stylish and on brand, as well as something that would cater for the needs of Lu Ban’s diners and staff.
Thanks to the help of both Counterline and Vision Commercial Kitchens, the Lu Ban restaurant can continue to provide a high-class dining experience for their customers within an environment that keeps diners returning again and again, as well as cook their incredible menu with a fully-equipped, authentic Chinese kitchen.
