Energy Saving Tips

26/02/2024Guy ParkerNews

At Counterline enhancing energy efficiency is central to our designs. Here are some of the many innovative features designed to ensure Counterline’s equipment performs brilliantly while operating sustainably, keeping costs and energy usage to a minimum.

In today’s dynamic business landscape, energy efficiency isn’t just a buzzword; it’s a crucial aspect of sustainable operations. Counterline stands at the forefront of this movement with a range of cutting-edge equipment designed to optimise energy usage and reduce environmental impact.

Double Glazed Doors

Counterline’s double glazed door options provide a barrier between the cold interior and the warmer ambient environment. You have to refrigerate some food products such a dairy based items to keep them fresh, by fitting double glazed doors on your refrigerated displays you can reduce your running costs.

Hydrocarbon Refrigerants: Pioneering Sustainable Cooling

One standout feature of Counterline’s equipment is the use of hydrocarbon refrigerants. These environmentally friendly refrigerants not only meet corporate sustainability objectives but also offer superior thermodynamic attributes, resulting in optimised energy-efficient operation. With lower condensing points and significantly reduced emissions, hydrocarbon systems deliver greater energy efficiency and contribute to mitigating global warming effects, ultimately leading to substantial cost savings for businesses.

Intelligent Evaporation: Streamlining Water Usage

Counterline’s intelligent evaporation system revolutionises the way water is managed within refrigeration units. By automatically switching off when not in use, this innovative feature not only conserves water but also enhances energy efficiency. How does it work?

1. Water enters the evaporation tray and completes the electrical circuit connection between the sensor probes.

2. Unit evaporates water which then breaks connection between sensor probes and switches the unit off automatically.

Condensing Units: Efficiency Meets Quality

Counterline’s commitment to environmental responsibility is evident in its choice of condensing units. Partnering with reputable brands like Embraco, the company ensures that its equipment exemplifies high efficiency without compromising on quality. By prioritising products that are both efficient and eco-friendly, Counterline sets the standard for sustainable refrigeration solutions.

Monitoring Systems: Empowering Control

Effective monitoring is essential for maximising energy savings in commercial refrigeration. Counterline understands this principle and collaborates with world-leading brands to integrate state-of-the-art temperature monitoring equipment into its products. With better monitoring comes improved control, enabling us to optimise energy usage and minimise waste effectively.

LED Lights: Illuminating Efficiency

Incorporating LED lighting into our cabinets, Counterline not only brightens up your commercial displays but also reduces energy consumption. With lower wattage requirements (only 50% of standard fluorescent) and an impressive lifespan of up to 50,000 hours, LED lights outperform traditional fluorescent lighting in both efficiency and durability. By minimising heat generation, LED lighting further enhances the efficiency of chilled cabinets.

Make your next choice a Counterline enery efficient chilled cabinet

By leveraging innovative technologies such as hydrocarbon refrigerants, intelligent evaporation, and LED lighting, Counterline empowers hospitality businesses to reduce their carbon footprint, cut operating costs, and embrace a more sustainable future. As organisations increasingly prioritise environmental stewardship, Counterline continues to lead the way with solutions that marry efficiency, performance, and eco-consciousness.
