Catering Hotplate Solutions from Counterline

18/10/2024Ryan ParkerNews

In any professional catering environment, maintaining the right temperature while showcasing food in the best possible light is essential. Counterline’s catering hotplates are designed to do just that, offering both practicality and style for customer-facing displays. Whether in a bustling buffet, a carvery, or a busy restaurant, these units provide an effective solution for keeping food hot while presenting it in an appealing way.

More Than Just Heating – A Display Solution

Counterline’s catering hotplates are not just about maintaining food temperature. They double as merchandising units, creating a seamless presentation that draws customers in. Whether you opt for enclosed models for assisted service or open-fronted designs for self-service, these hotplates give you the flexibility to suit different catering setups.

The electronic controls allow precise temperature adjustments, and with each gastronorm module powered by its own element, you get complete control over your hotplate’s performance. Unlike traditional bain maries, which use recessed containers, these hotplates provide a smooth ceramic surface, making them perfect for displaying a variety of food sizes and shapes directly on the plate.

Catering Hotplates in Action

Catering hotplates are widely used in customer-facing areas of commercial kitchens, offering a sleek and efficient way to present food. Enclosed models are ideal for controlled service where only staff can access the food, while open-fronted units are perfect for self-service environments such as buffets and carveries, where customers can help themselves.

These units are designed not only for practicality but also to enhance the appearance of your food displays. The angled display shelves and stylish construction ensure that your food is showcased to customers in its best light, making it more appetising and encouraging quick, confident selections.

A Range of Styles and Configurations

As part of Counterline’s idesign range, catering hotplates come in various styles such as Manhattan and Integrale, as well as countertop models. This means you can choose a unit that complements your kitchen’s design while maintaining high performance. For even more versatility, chilled and ambient food merchandisers can be paired with hotplates, providing a complete food display solution.

For kitchens needing a combination of hot and cold serving options, hotplates can also be integrated with bain maries. By inserting a flush ceramic hotplate into a bain marie well, you get the benefits of both systems in one unit, giving you the flexibility to serve a wider range of dishes.

Built for Performance and Safety

Each gastronorm module in Counterline’s hotplates is powered by an individual element, delivering 500 to 600 watts per module. The units come in various sizes, ranging from two-module setups to larger units with up to six modules. This makes it easy to find a hotplate that fits your specific needs, whether you’re serving a small selection of dishes or catering for a larger crowd.

Safety is a key consideration, especially in busy environments. Enclosed units feature an angled base display area and upper shelf, increasing hot holding capacity while preventing customers from touching hot surfaces. With their modern design and reliable heating, these hotplates are perfect for enhancing the look and function of your food service area.

Counterline’s catering hotplates offer a balance of style, efficiency, and safety, making them a valuable addition to any commercial kitchen. For more information or to discuss how our Catering Hotplates can benefit your business, contact the Counterline sales team today:
