Responsible for all Spar/Eurospar sites in Northern Ireland, Henderson’s contacted Counterline for assistance in taking their ‘Daily Deli’ concept, which is currently offered in 75% of their 700 sites, to the next level.
Customer-centric counters
The Daily Deli concept is designed to make grabbing a delicious, healthy, hot meal whilst on the go as simple as possible whilst providing maximum choice for consumers. In alignment with this goal Henderson’s had two key objectives for the project:
- Increase the range of hot food ‘grab and go’ options in Eurospar stores across Northern Ireland to maximise consumer choice
- The flexibility to offer both self-service and assisted service, depending on customer requirements and customer numbers
The Counterline solution
A bespoke build
The requirement for flexibility in the products meant we needed to be flexible in our solution. Supporting our distinguished distribution, Partner Stephens Catering, we liaised closely with Henderson’s to identify their key challenges.
We knew any solution would be required to fit seamlessly into hundreds of sites. Only by taking the time to closely research their requirements could we be confident in creating an effective solution.
After a thorough discussion, we realised that nothing on the market fit their precise requirements, so set to work developing a completely bespoke solution which has now become our iconvert range.
The iconvert range allows for a wide range of hot food to be offered, whilst providing stores the flexibility to be able to offer self service during busy periods and assisted service during quieter moments.
The units are converted on a daily basis, open during peak hours and closed at quieter times. A full menu can be offered, one for main meals such as curry, chilli, Bolognese, stroganoff etc. and the other is for chicken wings/goujons etc.
Moving quickly
Once our designs were finalised we acted quickly to begin manufacturing and rollout of our latest range of hot deli counters.
The expertise contained within our design and manufacturing teams ensured we were able to quickly manufacture units whilst meeting the high standards of quality demanded by all our clients.
Following this, our specialist installation team moved to get the new deli counters up and running as quickly as possible.
The result
All Eurospar Daily Delis will feature the Conterline heated iconvert range of counters as standard. We are currently in the process of rolling our counters out across their sites and look forward to seeing the public’s reaction to our latest products.
