Display Fridges

The function of a commercial display fridge is exactly what it’s name suggests, it is a multi-deck open fronted, or glass fronted, commercial unit designed to display produce and allow customers to choose and collect items they wish to buy.

Display fridges are designed to maintain and regulate their internal temperature. The focus being to keep chilled food fresh, and maximise expiry dates on products stored inside. The visual appeal of a display fridge is also an important factor in optimising sales, as these units may be placed in key areas within a shop or cafe to advertise food to customers.

A display fridge could be an open or closed front unit. It could be a free standing multi-deck counter, or a counter top display fridge ideal for installation right next to the till.

Counterline offer chilled display fridges in the icapacity, new experience, countertop and vision aire ranges.

Display Fridges

Where are display fridges used?

Display fridges are an excellent investment, allowing you to keep stock fresh for longer and minimize wastage through expiration. At the same time they are effective merchandising tools. For these reasons, display fridges are most popular in such places as convenience stores, sandwich shops and cafes.

However the variety in different unit sizes and shapes means that there are many types of establishment, such as bars, takeaways, canteens and deli’s, which can benefit from an open multideck fridge design.

Freestanding, open front units can be lined up seamlessly to offer maximum space and ease of re-stocking for a high footfall store. Equally useful, a half-size counter top display fridge can be a space saving option in a small bar, advertising chilled beers to customers waiting to place an order.

A sandwich display fridge

One of the most popular uses of our display fridges is for storing and displaying sandwiches. The produce is kept chilled and fresh for longer, and displayed for customers to easily see during the morning and lunch time rush. Some units can even be stocked from the back ensuring stock rotation, and that the display is never obscured by staff replenishing the shelves.

How do display fridges work?

At Counterline, our iDesign range features a wide selection of display fridges. We created our ranges with your business in mind, and know that each business has different needs.

Versatility is one of the most important features in a display fridge. Adjustable shelves can be set to a desired height for maximum usage of space as well as giving you the freedom to create the best display for your products.

In a busy shop environment, efficiency saves time and money. Rear doors enable shelf stocking from the back of the unit, speeding up stock rotation and ensuring the contents is never being obstructed from customers.

Having an attractive, eye-catching display advertises produce to customers. Opt for an open front display fridge with illuminated shelves to draw the focus of your shop to your daily special menu items or top of the range products.
