In 2022, Counterline supported the fit-out of Aulds Bakery in the St. Enoch Centre, Glasgow—helping the much-loved Scottish brand create a fresh, functional, and visually inviting retail space.
Aulds, a long-standing family bakery established in 1900, is known for its handmade cakes, pastries, and traditional favourites. Their latest store in the heart of Glasgow continues this tradition, offering a modern retail environment while retaining the familiar charm of the brand.
Counterline supplied a tailored mix of chilled, heated, and ambient display equipment, enabling Aulds to serve a wide selection of fresh bakery products throughout the day.
Chilled Serve-Over Counters – For chilled cakes and desserts, including their highly popular Strawberry Trifle, which remains a standout in-store.

Heated Bain Maries – Counterline created a dual-purpose heated countertop display using bain marie technology, designed to hold a variety of breakfast and lunchtime hot offerings at the correct temperature while maintaining product appeal.
Multi-Functional Base Units – Designed with flexible preparation space, integrated bread bay, and dedicated utensil, tray, and packaging storage, providing staff with the tools they need for smooth day-to-day operation.
This combination of equipment supports Aulds’ full menu range—from chilled desserts and freshly baked pastries to hot savoury items—while ensuring the store layout is clean, efficient, and easy to navigate for both customers and staff.
