For many years, convenience stores have transformed how we shop and when we shop. These stores are only developing the way they offer their products and exactly what they offer their customers on a daily basis. When it comes to dining, convenience stores have powered ahead in recent times to provide a whole selection of food and drink to cater for all kinds of diners, from vegetarian and vegan options, to those with food intolerances. This combined with food options for breakfast and lunch only widens menu options, creating the ultimate dining experience for many busy customers.
As more and more shoppers begin to choose the ‘little and often’ approach to food shopping as an alternative to their big weekly shop, convenience stores are becoming increasingly popular in fulfilling these demands. Here are just some of the crucial ways convenience stores are doing their bit to satisfy every type of customer.
These days, if convenience stores want the custom, they have to cater for everyone at all times of the day, regardless of dietary requirements. This means getting creative with food and drink offerings and even thinking about how these items are displayed to make the options available clearer to customers.
Customers want to see their options easily and clearly, and it’s crucial to display these food and drink options in the right way. Correct labeling on products and even the correct shelving and lighting can make all the difference, enticing customers to browse the offerings available and make their choice quickly.
Whilst many convenience stores still sell those tasty snacks that aren’t necessarily the healthiest, many are taking steps to promote healthy eating where they can by widening their options and shouting about in-store changes. Most convenience stores will have a great selection of healthy food and drinks to choose from in their range.
We’ve worked with many convenience stores in the past and continue to do so in helping them reach their full potential when it comes to food sales. As we’re the UK’s leader in foodservice displays and counters, we’ve been called upon to create everything from heated and chilled grab and go displays to creating customer-centric counters for easy food serving processes.
We’ve worked with SPAR stores across the country to spruce up their space and bring in more customers looking for healthy and delicious food and drink options for breakfast and lunch, as well as for a range of snacks throughout the day. More recently we ventured out to Lancaster University and Hull stores to provide our EHF600 Heated Displays and EC600 Chilled Displays from our New Experience range, as well as our Heated Bain Marie, Refrigerated Display Well (from the Manhattan range) and Counterline’s easy-lift glass display.
We’ve worked with a couple of sites for Scotmid, kitting out The Kitchen with Counterline’s Vision Aire range of matching heated chilled and ambient display cabinets with the popular easy lift front option and stylish dual-purpose heated display cases. More recently, the site at Leven St opted for a served hot drinks counter along with Counterline’s Vision Aire range of matching heated, chilled and ambient display cabinets.
