Counterline’s Guide to Hot Holding Displays

26/11/2020Guy ParkerNews

We’re regularly tasked with designing and manufacturing innovative display units to not only showcase a foodservice establishment’s offering, but to also maintain the quality of hot food to go. Getting both of these things just right makes Counterline the go-to manufacturer of food and drink display units for the catering, hospitality and food retail industries.

Hot holding displays are our forte, and to really achieve the end result we’re known for, we need to ensure temperatures are maintained and the overall design of the display unit and its products is enticing to the customer.

Keeping food hot

Keeping food hot without compromising on quality or convenience is of paramount importance. Hot holding displays should ensure grab and go food and drink is easily accessible and always tastes delicious!

Understanding customers’ wants and needs combined with the very latest in hot holding technology means we can create the ultimate self serve display with a purpose; to provide fresh, healthy food and drink options to customers at a regulated temperature.

Serving a variety of options

Warming cold food such as pies or sausage rolls, or keeping food which has been freshly cooked at serving temperature needs careful food safety handling and the right equipment. It is not just about maintaining the heat to help keep the food safe to eat, but to also keep it in a fresh condition for as long as possible.

Hot holding displays can be the main source of food and drink options in a smaller convenience store, or an additional part of a menu in cafes or larger foodservice establishments. With a much better variety to choose from, customers will learn to expect a great choice of food from you, and keep on returning again and again.

Maintaining and cleaning

Keeping hot holding displays properly clean and maintained prevents any issues and leaves your equipment running like clockwork. Units can be taken apart and cleaned thoroughly after a day’s use and is suitable for frequent cleaning in between customers to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

If you’re ever unsure about your equipment or are finding that it isn’t working as it should, our dedicated service engineers are second to none and capable of trouble-shooting, repairing and maintaining your food servery displays within 48 hours of your call.

Ensuring visibility

Perfect visibility of your hot holding displays is primarily important to ensure customers have full visibility of each product and its labeling so they can make the right purchasing decisions. Our units have clear toughened glass sides and hand guards, giving full visibility and making it even easier for customers to make their choice.

We can provide support to any foodservice establishment to create a brand or apply customer specific branding at our manufacturing facility, ensuring your unit arrives complete and ready for your launch.

Making things COVID friendly

These days, it’s more important than ever to ensure that you’re taking the right precautions to keep staff and customers safe. We understand that self-serve food to go products may not be the most convenient option for some establishments in these times, which is why we’ve introduced retractable glass units.

The seamless design allows an operator to instantly switch from self-service to assisted service, and it was highlighted by Counterline’s global partners as an innovation that will also support operators as they negotiate their businesses in the time of Covid-19.
